A little road trip

Caleb, Mimi (my mom) and I went on a little roadtrip to Greenville, SC this past week. My sister had a new baby, Ansley, on February 7th and Caleb and I had not gotten to meet her yet. Caleb is not the best car travler, but we survived the trip. Out of 6 1/2 hrs he only slept 20 minutes the whole way. We had a great time visiting. We went to the zoo, the park, out to eat and hung out at the house a lot. Caleb LOVED playing with his cousins!

We got ready to come home on Friday and my transmission went out on my car. As a matter of fact, my car is still in Greeville being fixed. Thankfully, my uncle lives in Greeville too and he loaned us a car to be able to come home. Needless to say, it was a crazy adventure, but I am so glad that we were able to go and spend some time with them! Wish we could see them more often.

Caleb and his cousin Andrew
As you can see, Caleb is not afraid of animals.

We had a small early bday party for Andrew, and Caleb enjoyed the cupcakes.

Andrew was SO pumped about his bday.

Ang had a mirror that Caleb loved to kiss himself a lot. :)

Ansley, isn't she beautiful?

Around the House...

I have been working a lot the past week. Caleb and I have been missing each other. He loves playing with his cousins and seeing his family while I am working. It is good for him to be away from us sometimes! Here are some pics from around the house that I have taken.

I made Caleb a pizza bagel and he couldn't get enough of it!

Caleb still LOVES taking baths!

He was trying to grab the camera in this one.

Caleb passes out lots of kisses these days! Ricky and I take full advantage of it. This moment right here can turn any bad day into a good day.

Easter and More

This is what happens when you try and make Caleb stay still for a picture. haha

I'm not sure how time gets away from me so much. I blink my eyes and it seems like two weeks have flown by. Caleb keeps me moving pretty much constantly! He is down to one nap a day now and sometimes that one is only an hour. So needless to say, there is not much "down time". When 6:00 gets here, I feel like it is 10:00. I am exhausted!

Ricky has been working non-stop, so we haven't seen too much of him lately. He leaves in the morning, comes home around 2 or 3 for a few hours and then goes back until around 10:30. Only a couple more weeks and his schedule will be back to normal....I think all of us are ready for that!

Here are some picture from Easter weekend. Caleb is SO much fun right now. He had a blast at Easter and so did we!!

Caleb and his newest injury he got just in time for Easter!

Caleb and his Easter eggs he got from his first Easter egg hunt. He loved them.

Still Easter morning... ???

What a Ham!

Caleb has turned into a very funny little boy lately. He is such a ham! He will do anything to get a laugh out of us these days. Last night I was rocking Caleb before I put him to bed. He laid his head on my shoulder and was really quiet for a couple of mintues. All of a sudden, he sat up and started cracking up laughing. Every time he laughed, I laughed. Ricky ended up coming in the room and putting Caleb to bed because I was laughing too hard to be serious! He loves making us laugh...and we love laughing with him. He is a very happy boy!

We are enjoying playing outside and going for walks on the days that are warm enough. Caleb loves to be outside of course. He wears himself out by playing so hard all day long. He is sleeping about 12-13 hours a night, which gives Ricky and I a much needed break in the evening.

Here are some pictures and I will try and upload a video I took of him trying to make me laugh. Enjoy!

Running, Running and Some more Running!!

We get a lot of running these days...Caleb and I both. He literally goes non-stop all day long except for the one hour nap he has been taking in the afternoon. I don't know how he has this much energy! He even runs from room to room in our house. Its all I can do to keep up with him.
We went to my Mom and Dad's house to celebrate my Papa's 80th birthday. He has alzheimers and didn't remember that it was his birthday, but we made sure not to forget! Here is Caleb with his great-Grandma and Papa Long. They are both telling him to look at the camera, but I'm not sure either of them are looking. :)

While we were there, Caleb ran and ran and ran! He had a blast. The best part was that some others took a turn chasing him for a while. Here are some pics of him at my Mom and Dad's place.
Runnning!!
Still running!

And still running...

My Little Climber

Caleb never ceases to amaze me. He does the cutest and funniest things every day that crack me up and make me love him even more. Tonight on the way home, he was blowing me kisses from the back seat...

Caleb has started climbing everything! He thinks climbing is really fun and funny. He cracks up while he is doing it like he is doing something really bad. haha I was pouring the water for his bath tonight and looked in the bathroom and he was almost in! Fully clothed of course. I had know idea he could climb in there. I have to keep a much closer eye on him these days. Here are a few pictures of Caleb climbing up on our ottoman. Notice he scoots his rocking chair right next to it and climb up that way.

Caleb loves playing with his cousins. Macey and Caleb get to play the most since Jayda is in school. Here are a few pictures I took of them playing this week. Of course they never look at the camera at the same time.

Caleb also had his 15 month check up this week. He weighs 21 pounds and is 30 inches tall. Our pediatrician said it was a "beautiful check up". We couldn't ask for anything more!! He is right on track for everything and we are very proud of him. He got two big shots and the dr. said no more shots until he goes to kindergarten. I hope that is true!
