What a Ham!

Caleb has turned into a very funny little boy lately. He is such a ham! He will do anything to get a laugh out of us these days. Last night I was rocking Caleb before I put him to bed. He laid his head on my shoulder and was really quiet for a couple of mintues. All of a sudden, he sat up and started cracking up laughing. Every time he laughed, I laughed. Ricky ended up coming in the room and putting Caleb to bed because I was laughing too hard to be serious! He loves making us laugh...and we love laughing with him. He is a very happy boy!

We are enjoying playing outside and going for walks on the days that are warm enough. Caleb loves to be outside of course. He wears himself out by playing so hard all day long. He is sleeping about 12-13 hours a night, which gives Ricky and I a much needed break in the evening.

Here are some pictures and I will try and upload a video I took of him trying to make me laugh. Enjoy!

Running, Running and Some more Running!!

We get a lot of running these days...Caleb and I both. He literally goes non-stop all day long except for the one hour nap he has been taking in the afternoon. I don't know how he has this much energy! He even runs from room to room in our house. Its all I can do to keep up with him.
We went to my Mom and Dad's house to celebrate my Papa's 80th birthday. He has alzheimers and didn't remember that it was his birthday, but we made sure not to forget! Here is Caleb with his great-Grandma and Papa Long. They are both telling him to look at the camera, but I'm not sure either of them are looking. :)

While we were there, Caleb ran and ran and ran! He had a blast. The best part was that some others took a turn chasing him for a while. Here are some pics of him at my Mom and Dad's place.
Runnning!!
Still running!
Caleb and Papa
And still running...

My Little Climber

Caleb never ceases to amaze me. He does the cutest and funniest things every day that crack me up and make me love him even more. Tonight on the way home, he was blowing me kisses from the back seat...

Caleb has started climbing everything! He thinks climbing is really fun and funny. He cracks up while he is doing it like he is doing something really bad. haha I was pouring the water for his bath tonight and looked in the bathroom and he was almost in! Fully clothed of course. I had know idea he could climb in there. I have to keep a much closer eye on him these days. Here are a few pictures of Caleb climbing up on our ottoman. Notice he scoots his rocking chair right next to it and climb up that way.

Caleb loves playing with his cousins. Macey and Caleb get to play the most since Jayda is in school. Here are a few pictures I took of them playing this week. Of course they never look at the camera at the same time.

Caleb also had his 15 month check up this week. He weighs 21 pounds and is 30 inches tall. Our pediatrician said it was a "beautiful check up". We couldn't ask for anything more!! He is right on track for everything and we are very proud of him. He got two big shots and the dr. said no more shots until he goes to kindergarten. I hope that is true!

Our Happy Boy is Back!

Caleb's fever left this past week and he is feeling much better...thank goodness! He is back to his happy self. You almost forget how much fun they can be when they've been sick for a while.

Caleb, sleeping off his fever.

Here are a few pictures of Caleb hammin' it up!

Cheese!

Mommy, don't tickle me!

We are so glad our little man is feeling good again! Look at all those teeth!

I have to work out of town all week in Parkersburg. I will probably be going through Caleb withdrawls since I am not used to being away during the day. I know he will be in good hands though. I'll just have to kiss those big cheeks extra when I get home in the evenings!

Boy to we know how to celebrate a Birthday!!!

Thursday evening I noticed that Caleb hardly touched his dinner, but drank a huge glass of water like he couldn't get enough. I thought it was strange, but just thought maybe his teeth were bothering him or something. When I got him out of his high chair I noticed that he was burning up. I took his temperature and it was 102.3! He hadn't been sick at all, so I retook it and it was still just as high. I gave him some motrin and he wanted to go to bed and he slept all night. The next morning he still had a high temperature. I ended up taking him to the dr. to get his ears checked because that was the only thing I could think of that would be causing him to have a temp. The Dr. said his ears were clear and everything looked great. She went on to say that he probably has roseola. I've said this a thousand times, but I seriously never knew there were so many viruses until I had a child. Turns out roseola is a "very common" virus that most all kids get before the age of 3. Once they get it they are alwyas immune to it (thats why adults don't catch it). It is a very high temp for about three days and then they get a rash, which means the virus is gone. Well, we are on day 3 of the temperature and watching for a rash...I guess time will tell.
Here is Caleb, obviously not feeling his best.

Otherwise, Caleb is doing well, but we have to stay home since he is contagous. Ricky's b-day was Friday. His parents insisted we still follow through with our dinner plans and they watched Caleb. Ricky and I had a wonderful dinner together and then on the way home I got a migraine. I hadn't had one in almost two years. Anyway, Caleb and I were both asleep around 8:00 and Ricky was left to celebrate his bday alone. Sorry honey!!

Apparently kisses from Pokey help.

Caleb and I are beginning to go stir crazy, but hopefully this virus will be gone by tomorrow. We are looking forward to some warm weather one day hopefully soon!! We can't wait to play outside in the sunshine and go for walks!

We got Daddy some balloons for his b-day...here is Caleb having fun with them!

What have we been doing these days???

Well, a WHOLE lot of playing and entertaining ourselves around the house. It has been pretty cold here, so unless we really need to go somewhere we have just been staying around the house. Not too much to update, but here are some new pictures.

Caleb is really into dancing and clapping to any music right now. Here he is dancing and clapping to his truck that is playing music.

Here is a very close up picture of Caleb's teeth. You can even see his big molars in the back.

Opening and closing doors is also lots of fun. He goes into the toy room and shuts the door and plays for a long time.

Where's Caleb?????

Here is Caleb showing off his sign language. He is saying "please". He does please while dancing to his music...I'm pretty sure he has no idea what that one means. haha

If you notice a necklace in some of these pictures....please note that we are trying a teething necklace. I'll let you know how it works out.

"Mom, I can't get in this wagon and it is making me so mad!!"

"Now I'm stuck!!"
